| The PG Department of English was started in 2010. It is a PG Department that holds great culture from it's roots. There are about 148 students studying in the department. The main motto of the Department is as alike as the college motto, as Tennyson puts it, "To Strive, To Seek, To Find and not To Yield." The Department holds it an honour to have a separate library where there are around 1060 books in the UG section and 600 books in the PG section. This helps the students to read, take note of details, understand and assimilate the authors and their biographies in detail. Books on communicative skills help them improvise their language. The PG scholars are allowed to lavishly use the library to give extraordinary results and research papers. The Department is proud to say that it has given University rank in the past academic year 2015-2016. The University second rank was achieved by Mr. M. Susikaran of II MA Eng.Lit. Thus the Department is active in being productive in all areas of academics. We welcome many aspiring students and scholars to be a part of our literary family. |
